Axle Stands

British-made axle stands for light to heavy commercial vehicles. Made in Sheffield, every Melco stand uses the load-pin safety principle — the pin bends as a visible overload warning rather than failing without notice. From 3-tonne light-commercial stands to 16-tonne low-entry stands for plant and off-road tyre work, there’s a Melco stand for the load and the working height you need.

Please note: we have discontinued our car / DIY axle stand range (the former AS/5 and AS/10). Our range now starts at the 3-tonne AS/20, built for professional and commercial use. Genuine replacement pins, chains and crutches for older stands remain available.

Capacities are the Safe Working Load (SWL) per stand — always used in matched pairs. 1 tonne = 1,000 kg.
