Melco AS/40/HD 8 Ton Axle Stand

Single or pair? Axle stands must be used in matched pairs. Choose Single for one stand or Pair for two — the Pair price is for both stands.

The heavy-duty version of the AS/40, with a heavier centre column, additional welding and a larger load pin. Rated to 8 tonnes and proof tested to 12 tonnes. Working height 540–1000mm (21–39 in).

Before lifting: position the vehicle on firm, level ground, apply the parking brake, select Park or a suitable gear as appropriate, and chock the wheels that will remain on the ground. Raise the vehicle using suitable lifting equipment. Place matched stands only at the vehicle manufacturer's approved support points, set each genuine load pin fully through the required hole, and lower the vehicle carefully onto the stands. Keep the load vertical and centred on each crutch. Never work beneath a vehicle supported only by a jack.

Inspect before every use: check the correct Melco pin is fitted and straight, the crutch is true and not spread, holes are not elongated, the tube and legs are not bent and welds are sound. Never substitute the load pin. Do not exceed the marked SWL. Replace worn or damaged pins, chains or crutches with the correct Melco spare. Maintain a regular inspection regime appropriate to the use and working environment.
