Refund & Returns Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your Melco tools. This Refund & Returns Policy sets out your rights when you buy from Melco Tools, a brand of Footprint Sheffield Ltd.

Your right to cancel
If you are a UK consumer, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. To cancel, contact us at sales@melcotools.com before the 14-day period ends. You then have a further 14 days to return the goods to us. These cancellation rights apply to consumers only; business and trade purchases are not covered by them.

Returns
You may inspect and handle the goods to the extent reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, in the same way that you might examine them in a shop. If the value of the goods has been reduced because they have been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary, we may make an appropriate deduction from your refund. Original packaging is not a condition of exercising your statutory cancellation rights, although we ask that goods are securely packaged for return wherever possible. Please send returns to our goods entrance: Admiral Works, Lowther Road, Sheffield, S6 2DQ. You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods unless the item is faulty or was sent in error. We recommend using a tracked and suitably insured service.

Faulty or incorrect items
If your item arrives damaged, faulty, is not as described, or is not what you ordered, please contact us at sales@melcotools.com and we will provide the appropriate remedy in accordance with your statutory rights. This may include a repair, replacement or refund, depending on the circumstances. Where the goods are faulty or incorrectly supplied, we will also cover reasonable return postage costs. This does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of the outcome. Where you exercise your statutory right to cancel, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 14 days of receiving the returned goods, or receiving evidence that you have sent them back, whichever is earlier. Refunds cover the price of the goods and the cost of our standard delivery service; where you chose a more expensive delivery option, we are not required to refund the additional delivery cost.

Exceptions
Where goods have been handled, used, modified, sharpened or altered beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect them, and this has reduced their value, we may make an appropriate deduction from the refund. Statutory cancellation rights do not apply in certain circumstances, including goods that are genuinely made to your specification or clearly personalised. If this applies to an item, we will make this clear before the order is placed. These exceptions do not affect your rights where goods are faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described.
