Melco WS/1 Tyre Changing Stool

A tyre changing stool - a four-legged stand topped with concentric steel rings, like a shallow pyramid. The wheel drops onto whichever ring matches its centre bore and sits held and still, giving a firm base to change or repair a tyre. Fabricated in Sheffield from welded plate and powder coated, where cheaper versions are pressed sheet. Good value, and one of few still made in the UK. Sit the wheel on the ring that matches its centre so it is held steady, then change or repair the tyre on it. Smaller workshops and mobile fitters going out to farms and mixed jobs. Wipe down with an oily cloth if left standing. Check the rings, legs and welds for damage or cracking, and make sure the stool stands square and stable before use; take it out of service if a weld is cracked or a leg is bent.
