Melco TTL/5 Tubeless Tyre Lever – 37½″ (970mm)

A larger, more robust take on the TTL/1 and now our most popular tubeless lever. Broad flat end with a stamped pip, welded lug at the other end. The extra length and bend get into thicker-walled super single tyres and give more bite, so the lever is less likely to slip out and injure the fitter. Forged in Sheffield on a thicker 22mm alloy steel bar, heat treated, with squarer edges than a TTL/1. Another one we simply do not see come back. Work in pairs. Break the bead, lever it over with the broad flat end, and follow round. The longer bar gives extra reach and bite on stiff super single walls. Commercial tyre fitters; a go-to for super single and heavy tyres. Effectively maintenance-free. Daily use keeps it in condition; if it is left standing, wipe it down with an oily cloth to keep rust off. Nothing needs sharpening. Check for any snags or sharp edges that could tear a tyre, and never weld anything to the lever - the heat alters the steel.
