Melco TTL/3 Tubeless Tyre Lever – 30″ (770mm)

The same 30in commercial lever as the TTL/2 but without the welded lug, and with one end squared and flattened slightly. Forged in Sheffield on 22mm alloy steel bar and heat treated. Fitters who do not want a lug prefer it, and across Lincolnshire and Humberside it became the lever they use for everything - one tool for the whole job. Use in pairs to press and follow the bead over the rim once broken. No lug, so bear on the rim edge directly. Agricultural tyre fitters, especially those who want a single all-round lever. Effectively maintenance-free. Daily use keeps it in condition; if it is left standing, wipe it down with an oily cloth to keep rust off. Nothing needs sharpening. Check for any snags or sharp edges that could tear a tyre, and never weld anything to the lever - the heat alters the steel.
