Melco TTL/2 Tubeless Tyre Lever – 30″ (770mm)

A 30in commercial tyre lever with rounded ends and a welded lug on one side. Forged in Sheffield on 22mm alloy steel bar and heat treated. Traditionally a favourite for softer-walled agricultural tyres, and because the ends are not deeply lipped it works on tubed or tubeless tyres alike. Close cousin to the TTL/3, which has no lug; choice between them comes down to how a fitter was brought up. Use in pairs to lever the bead over the rim once broken. The lug gives a fulcrum against the rim edge. Agricultural tyre fitters and farmers, plus commercial work. Effectively maintenance-free. Daily use keeps it in condition; if it is left standing, wipe it down with an oily cloth to keep rust off. Nothing needs sharpening. Check for any snags or sharp edges that could tear a tyre, and never weld anything to the lever - the heat alters the steel.
