Melco TS/1 Tyre Spreader – Hand Type

A single-handed tyre spreader for opening the wall of a tyre so you can see inside and inspect for damage - no peering into a dark chasm. Hold it against the tyre and push, and it opens itself, leaving your other hand free. A neat, simple tool of tubular handle and flat-section steel scissor. Made in Sheffield. Hold the spreader against the opened tyre and push down; it opens the wall so you can inspect inside for damage or a repair. Tyre fitters in the field or workshop, and farms. Keep clean and dry. Lightly oil pivots and moving joints as needed. Before use, check the tubular handle, scissor arms, pivots and welds for bending, cracks, looseness or other damage; take the spreader out of service if damaged.
