A longer split rim lever, sitting alongside the TL/40 and TL/45. Forged one end in Sheffield, cleaned up, heat treated and zinc plated, with an end shaped for a particular split-rim locking-ring job. A steady-away seller rather than a big number. Engage the shaped end with the locking ring and lever to open the split rim. Commercial tyre fitters on split-rim / locking-ring wheels. Effectively maintenance-free. Daily use keeps it in condition; if it is left standing, wipe it down with an oily cloth to keep rust off. Nothing needs sharpening. Check for any snags or sharp edges that could tear a tyre, and never weld anything to the lever - the heat alters the steel.
