Melco TL/105 Earth Mover Lever – Heavy Duty

The heavy end of the range. A single-ended, heavy-duty lever with an incisor-shaped blade, forged in Sheffield on 28mm carbon steel bar. Made for earth mover tyres and the very large-tyred industries - quarrying, excavators, open-cast - and it also fits certain bus and Trilex-type locking rings. With a tool this size it is the form that matters, not the fineness of the steel. Use the incisor blade end to prize the locking ring / bead on very large earth mover and split-rim wheels. On-site earth mover / off-road tyre fitters in quarrying and construction. Effectively maintenance-free. Daily use keeps it in condition; if it is left standing, wipe it down with an oily cloth to keep rust off. Nothing needs sharpening. Check for any snags or sharp edges that could tear a tyre, and never weld anything to the lever - the heat alters the steel.
