Melco Replacement V Crutch for Axle Stands

The V crutch is the traditional Melco axle stand head — two plates meeting in a deep V trough that self-centres a round axle across a range of diameters. It is the head for older vehicles and trailers, and anywhere you support the vehicle directly under the axle rather than a jacking point.

The crutch is a load-bearing, safety-critical part and one of the key inspection points on a stand. If yours is bent, cracked or worn at the seat, fit the correct Melco replacement to bring the stand back to conformity. Forged and finished in Sheffield from the correct grade and thickness of structural steel.
