About Melco

Melco was founded in Sheffield, England in 1921 by Thomas Meldrum. Today, our forged hand tools — including tyre levers and bead breakers — are drop-forged, heat-treated and ground in our Sheffield factory, and our axle stands are fabricated there too.

In 2026, Footprint Sheffield Ltd acquired the Melco brand, tooling and trading assets. Melco is now a trading brand operated by Footprint Sheffield Ltd from our Sheffield factory. When you contact Melco, you are dealing directly with Footprint Sheffield Ltd and the Sheffield team behind the Melco range.

Commercial axle stands from 3 to 16 tonnes, built on the load-pin safety principle and fabricated in our own factory.
